Happy November everyone!
As a small business, we always strive to do our part in making eco-friendly and conscious decisions in possible ways and this includes our ingredients, products, packaging and even jar return programs. This is always a bigger goal that inspires us. Hence for our first year anniversary, we choose to give back to the environment by making a lasting and significant benefit.
We are excited to announce our collaboration with APE Malaysia for November as we will donate a portion of our sales* proceeds to plant trees in Lower Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary in Sabah, Borneo.
The Lower Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary “is arguably the last forested alluvial floodplain in Asia and an area of enormous importance for wildlife and the local community” according to WWF. Endangered wildlife in the area include: Borneo pygmy elephants, Borneo orangutan, Sumatran rhinoceros, Malayan sun bear, clouded leopard, bear cat, hornbills and many more.
This reforestation effort by APE Malaysia aims to restore wildlife and biodiversity sanctuary by planting native trees where the planting sites were former logging/agricultural plantations.
Our goal is to plant a total 25 trees (RM20/tree) for this cause. We hope this makes the environment a better place, one tree at a time.
